Signing of the memorandum of mutual understanding of the supply of passenger aircraft
June 16, 2009 Leasing Company Ilyushin Finance Co., Obyedinennaha Aviastroitelnaya Corporation (United Aircraft Corporation) and Atlant-Soyuz Airlines signed a memorandum of mutual understanding of the supply of 30 regional passenger aircraft Antonov-148 (AN-148) and 15 medium passenger aircraft Tupolev-204SM (TU-204SM) for lease. The memorandum specifies basic options of the lease agreement, including the cost and terms of aircraft deliveries for Atlant-Soyuz. It says particularly that the equipment is getting leased for 10 years. The AN-148 aircraft will be delivered to the customer within 3 years, starting 2010, the TU-204SM planes - within 2 years, starting 2011.
According to the document signed the parties are committed to enter into the leasing agreement by September 1st 2009. This deal will be the largest one in the 10-year lifetime of the Ilyushin Finance Co.. It will provide members of the Obyedinennaha Aviastroitelnaya Corporation (United Aircraft Corporation) and Rostehnologii with continuous aircraft orders.
